As everyone knows, Havana is full of American cars from the 50’s. Lots of more modern cars exists as well, but the old ones are clearly more photogenic than Renaults from the 80’s and contribute to a positive feedback loop that perpetuates this image of Cuba. What’s common is that all cars are in a state of repair and mods to keep them running without access to original parts – something I find just as charming and unique as the cars themselves.
