Just like the roads into the neighbourhood area where La Guarida is situated, the staircases up to the third floor are not exactly what you’d expect. When we were there, the first and second floor were going through some renovations, so after you’ve been let in by the bouncer at the entrance you’ll most likely think you’re in the wrong place. There are no signs and no nice carpets with “La Guarida” printed on them leading up to the right place, just the instructions from the doorman to go two stairs up. Instead there are scaffolding, protective wrapping and stairs that have seen better days. However, the experience of walking through this section only adds to the positive surprise of actually entering La Guarida on the third floor.
